Dr. Tim Larkin of Edward Hospital explains his timing protocol for Impella RP® placement in this physician Q&A session. He explains his rationale for placing the device primarily after intervention. In addition, Dr. Larkin describes one of his recent cases which featured an elderly women with a right coronary infarct and the benefit of placing the Impella RP after treatment for improving the patient’s hypotension.
